Young woman killed in I-376 car accident
An 18-year old woman was killed yesterday in a crash on I-376 in Brighton Township, Beaver County. According to reports, the woman was a passenger in a car traveling westbound when their car was struck by a car that was attempting to change lanes. Both drivers lost control of their vehicles which then left the road and struck an embankment. the drivers of the two cars sustained minor injuries. The police are investigating the possible use of alcohol 0n the part of the other driver as a contributing or causal factor in this accident.
If it is determined that the other driver was under the influence of alcohol, this tragedy again demonstrates the dangers of alcohol use, particularly on the part of underaged drivers. A family has lost a daughter because of the carelessness of another.
