According to reports, the woman’s foot got stuck on the gas pedal and she struck a pole in a parking lot, then rolled over several times. Man killed in Motorcycle accident in Venango County

A Hermitage man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Venango County yesterday. According to reports, the man was traveling on Route 8 in Sandycreek when he lost control of his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Young woman killed in I-376 car accident

An 18-year old woman was killed yesterday in a crash on I-376 in Brighton Township, Beaver County. According to reports, the woman was a passenger in a car traveling westbound when their car was struck by a car that was attempting to change lanes. Both drivers lost control of their vehicles which then left the road and struck an embankment. the drivers of the two cars sustained minor injuries. The police are investigating the possible use of alcohol 0n the part of the other driver as a contributing or causal factor in this accident.

If it is determined that the other driver was under the influence of alcohol, this tragedy again demonstrates the dangers of alcohol use, particularly on the part of underaged drivers. A family has lost a daughter because of the carelessness of another.

Motorcycle-truck crash kills Economy man

A head-on collision between a motorcycle and a pick up truck killed an Economy man and led to criminal charges being filed against an Ambridge man. According to reports, the pick up truck crossed over teh center line on 989 in Harmony, striking the motorcycle. The operator of the motorcycle was killed in the collision.

The driver of the pick up truck was tested for alcohol use and is now facing charges for causing the accident and for driving under the influence. More information on this accident amy be found at the Beaver County Times.

Man injured in Connoquenessing crash

A man riding as a passenger in his truck while his 15-year old daughter was driving was injured when she crashed the truck. According to reports, the girl was driving on Bryson Road in Connoquenessing Township when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a house. The man was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment.
